Recent debutants Oakley-Boothe and Georgiou reveal role model

Midfielder Tashan Oakley-Boothe was introduced as a late substitute in our 1-0 home win over Barnsley in the third round of the Carabao Cup on September 19, with winger Anthony Georgiou following suit at APOEL in our 3-0 Champions League triumph in Cyprus a week later.

Still only 17 years of age, Tashan is in his second year as a full-time player and is eligible for our Under-18s side until the end of the current campaign, whereas Anthony, at 20, is now into his third season with our Development Squad in the Under-21 age group.

Both earned their chances after impressing on our summer tour of the USA while continuing to graft on the training pitches and spoke with grateful thanks to Mauricio Pochettino for their opportunities after their respective debuts.
