Real Madrid want Harry Kane to replace Karim Benzema: Spanish giants join Man United in the £100m race to sign the England captain… and Daniel Levy’s reluctance to sell to a Premier League rival could work in their favour

Real Madrid are set to test Harry Kane’s resolve to become the Premier League’s greatest ever goalscoring record as they plot a £100m swoop for the Tottenham striker.

The Spanish giants have confirmed legendary striker Karim Benzema is departing the Bernabeu this summer, leaving Real searching for a replacement.

Madrid have a long-term interest in Kane and are ready to launch a bid to lure the 29-year-old to the Spanish capital ahead of next season.

Sources have indicated Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will quote Madrid a minimum starting price of £100million for Kane once an enquiry lands.
