The young midfielder scored twice from the edge of the box, the second quickly followed by goals from Will Miller and Shayon Harrison as we enjoyed a blistering spell just after the break.
It could have been more, too, but goalkeeper Jonathan Bond atoned for his error on Harrison’s goal to deny both Harrison and Edwards late on, with Andy Rinomhota having netted a consolation for the Royals 17 minutes from time.
