He gave an update on the fitness of his players, including James Maddison: "Dejan Kulusevksi has recovered from his illness and Madders has been training with us. He had a full training week so he is in a good place. We are getting the numbers back up. I think the ones who are definitely [out] still are Gio [Lo Celso], Manor [Solomon] and Alejo [Veliz]."
He believes the winter break has been beneficial for the group: "Because there has been a fair few challenges, I just thought giving the players a little break would benefit us more than going away on a mini camp.
