Non-league Marine granted permission to host 500 fans for their mouth-watering FA Cup tie with Jose Mourinho's Tottenham next month after FA conduct coronavirus assessment at their stadium in Tier 2

Non-league side Marine will be allowed to welcome 500 fans into their stadium for their FA Cup third round clash with Premier League side Tottenham in January.

The Northern Premier League Division One North West side were dramatically drawn at home against Jose Mourinho's Spurs in the 149-year-old competition, with their tie set to take place on January 10.

A thorough coronavirus assessment was carried out at the 3,185-capacity stadium in Rossett Park and the limit was agreed by the FA and Sefton council.

The Mariners' stadium is based in Merseyside which is in Tier 2 of the UK Government's Covid-19 regulation system, so supporters are allowed to attend.
