'My dream is to be back and finish the work we didn't finish': Mauricio Pochettino wants Tottenham return despite being sacked in November as he insists 'we were so close to winning Premier League and Champions League'

Former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has opened the door for an incredible return to the club in the future - saying he wants to to finish what he started.

The Argentine will hold special status among many Spurs fans after guiding them to a first ever place in the Champions League final last year - only to fall to a 2-1 defeat against Liverpool in Madrid.

Under his leadership the team also challenged for the title and came close in domestic competitions, but often fell disappointingly at the final hurdle.
