Middlesbrough 'agree long-term deal' for Aussie star Tom Glover after goalkeeper left Melbourne City as a free agent six months on from being smashed in the face with a metal bucket by rival fans

Middlesbrough have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Australian goalkeeper Tom Glover on a free transfer.

According to Football Insider, the 25-year-old passed his medical earlier this week and is set to sign a long-term deal at the Riverside.

A product of Tottenham's academy, Glover is a free agent after leaving Melbourne City at the end of the A-League season last month.

The Aussie played 106 games in four seasons for City, winning the A-League in 2021 and finishing as runner-up in both of the past two seasons.
