LONDON -- Mauricio Pochettino says Serge Aurier deserves a second chance at Tottenham, and insisted he has no concerns about the deadline-day signing after a long conversation with him.
Aurier joined Spurs for £23 million from Paris Saint-Germain last week, but his three-year stay in the French capital was marred with controversies.
He was arrested in Paris last May for assaulting a police officer outside a nightclub and later given a two-month "convertible" prison sentence, which has since been downgraded to a fine. Before that, he used a homophobic slur against former PSG boss Laurent Blanc during a live broadcast.
