Manchester City 'unlikely to pursue Harry Kane again in 2022 and he could sign contract extension with Tottenham... but Daniel Levy will need to include release clause for Spurs talisman to renew'

Harry Kane won't make the mistake of signing away his future to Daniel Levy without a get-out clause again, but he may have already missed the boat to Manchester City.

The England captain was ready to finally ditch Spurs and move to a top European club this summer, having lost patience trying to drag the north Londoners to the end of their trophy drought.

City were desperate for Kane to replace legendary front-man Sergio Aguero and personal terms were discussed, but Levy blocked the move by standing firm at his £150m valuation.
