Leyton Orient 1-1 Tottenham: Nuno Espirito Santo's first game in charge ends in disappointment as teenage striker Dane Scarlett's first-half opener is cancelled out by Ruel Sotiriou as the League Two side earn a draw

Teenage striker Dane Scarlett saw his opener cancelled out by Ruel Sotiriou as Tottenham kicked off their pre-season campaign by drawing to League Two Leyton Orient.

The visitors' starting line-up contained seven recognised senior players: Joe Hart, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Eric Dier, Harry Winks, Dele Alli, Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn.

Midfielder Nile John was one of four young players picked by Nuno Espirito Santo for his first match in chance, with the 18-year-old latching onto Winks' ball over the top and flicking the ball inside Orient left back Connor Wood before firing straight at goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux on nine minutes.
