Capped twice by England, Paul went on to play for West Ham, Liverpool, Fulham, Leicester City and Gillingham before retiring from full-time professional football to join non-league Billericay Town last month.
During his five-year stint at Leicester, Paul was joined by two loanee team-mates in the 2012-13 season - Burnley's Michael Keane and a certain Harry Kane.
