Julian Nagelsmann 'holds talks over becoming the new Napoli manager,' though the Italian side could face competition from Paris Saint-Germain who have made the ex-Bayern Munich boss 'their first choice' to replace Christophe Galtier

Former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann has held talks over the Napoli manager's job.

Nagelsmann turned down the opportunity to manage Chelsea and was ruled out of contention to take charge of Tottenham.

As reported by BILD, the 35-year-old has held discussions with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis over the vacancy.

Napoli won the Serie A title for the first time since 1990, but head coach Luciano Spalletti is leaving the club in order to take a sabbatical.

Former Spain and Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has been linked with Napoli.
