Jamie Carragher praised VAR for operating at it's 'best' after a video check at the City Ground saw Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma sent off for a dangerous tackle against Nottingham Forest.
Bissouma was shown a straight red card by referee Jarred Gillet after he slid in on Ryan Yates and caught the Forest captain after he had played a pass.
The combative Tottenham player went in recklessly and caught Yates high up on his leg and leaving VAR with a simple check to deem Bissouma should be given his early marching orders.
