Sonny's award was announced at the AFC's annual ceremony in Bangkok on Wednesday afternoon. It's the second time he's been named AFC's International Player of the Year after taking the honour in 2015.
It's been quite a 2017 for Sonny.
He scored 21 goals in all competitions as we finished second in the Premier League and hit his first Spurs hat-trick against Millwall on our way to the semi-finals of the FA Cup. For the first time in our history, three players reached 20-plus goals in all competitions - Harry Kane (35), Dele All (22) and Sonny.
