Harry Kane's ankle problem looked as bad as ever in the moments following England's disappointing 0-0 draw with the USA.

The Tottenham man had a scan earlier in the week on his swollen ankle, but was deemed fit to maintain the captain's armband in an unchanged side for England's second game.

However, Gareth Southgate's squad failed to build on the momentum of Monday's 6-2 win against Iran with the goalless draw at the Al Bayt Stadium, where they struggled to create clear-cut chances.
