Lothar Matthaus believes Harry Kane is 'too old and too expensive' for Bayern Munich to sign this summer.
England's all-time leading goalscorer is expected to leave Tottenham Hotspur for a new challenge with his contract due to expire in 2024.
Kane, 29, has been linked with Bayern as well as Manchester United and Chelsea but would likely cost in excess of £100million to buy.
German legend Matthaus fears this puts him out of Bayern's price range and believes there would be little re-sale value given his age.
Matthaus instead thinks the German champions should try and sign Napoli hotshot Victor Osimhen instead, with Randal Kolo Muani of Eintracht Frankfurt or Werder Bremen's Niclas Füllkrug potentially better fits.
