Hamstring injury rules Tottenham's Dele Alli out of England friendlies

LONDON -- Tottenham's Dele Alli will miss England's friendlies against Germany and Brazil with a hamstring problem.

Alli suffered the injury in Spurs' 3-1 win over Real Madrid on Wednesday, when he scored twice, and he was ruled out of Sunday's Premier League match against Crystal Palace.

The Football Association (FA) has confirmed Alli's withdrawal from Gareth Southgate's 26-man squad for Friday's match against Germany and the meeting with Brazil four days later, both at Wembley.

Dele Alli scored twice in Tottenham's win over Real Madrid in midweek.

The midfielder has undergone a scan and he is expected to be sidelined for around two weeks, leaving him touch and go for the North London derby at Arsenal on Nov.
