FIFA have provisionally suspended the 10-week ban handed to Kieran Trippier for breaching betting rules.
Last week, the FA found the England defender guilty of four of seven alleged breaches of its betting regulations, all of which occurred in July 2019, around the time of his move from Tottenham to Atletico Madrid.
FIFA then confirmed that the ban was effective worldwide and therefore the 30-year-old looked set to miss a crucial period of the season for Diego Simeone's side in LaLiga and the Champions League.

But the world governing body now appeared to have now intervened once more in a more positive light for Trippier, suspending the ban pending further information being provided by the FA to the Spanish capital side.
