Full-back Clyne was left out of Jurgen Klopp’s squad for the Champions League as he recovers from injury. There was some surprise he was not included as he was not expected to be out of action for much longer, but Klopp has revealed there will still be ‘some time before he is back and available for selection’. Klopp decided to leave him out as he is ‘pretty certain he’ll not be available for the majority of the Champions League group matches’.
Lamela has been out of action since October 2016, when he suffered from a hip injury that has still not fully healed.
