Sevilla’s latest success in the Europa League would have made Tottenham fans either laugh or cry with Erik Lamela and Bryan Gil among the thick of the celebrations.
Spurs sold Lamela to the Spanish side as part of a deal to sign Gil in 2022, only for the winger to return to the Spanish side on loan.
The two players may have taken the fast track towards achieving silverware, with the pair becoming the latest additions to a growing list to have secured winners medals since leaving Tottenham.
Tottenham talisman Harry Kane would be understandably taken some envious looks elsewhere as he awaits the first major silverware of his career, with the north London side having come close but still yet to lift a trophy since 2008.
