The former left-back was a loyal servant to the Club throughout the entire 1990s, winning the FA Cup in 1991 and the League Cup in 1999 – when he was infamously sent off in the final – with us before joining Portsmouth in 2000.
He’s now in charge of Gillingham, our visitors in the third round of this season’s EFL Cup, having built up a solid managerial reputation with the likes of Newport County – whom he guided back into the Football League in 2013 – and Rushden & Diamonds since his playing days came to an end.
