When Antonio Conte strides onto the Stamford Bridge turf on Wednesday for the first time since he was sacked as Chelsea manager in 2018, his heart will start thumping through his chest.

The eventual unravelling of his reign during a tumultuous second season in charge was just as unforgettable for altogether different reasons.
