Alex Morgan finally makes her WSL debut 56 days after signing for Tottenham and 184 days after giving birth but striker denied dream start as north London side are held by Reading

She had to wait 56 days but Alex Morgan finally made her Tottenham and WSL debut on Saturday.

Morgan, who gave birth to daughter Charlie 184 days ago, signed for Spurs in September a lack of match fitness and a small injury setback delayed her return to the pitch.

Fans have waited patiently to see the US World Cup winner in action and they were finally rewarded when the striker came on for the last 20 minutes against Reading.
