The Raptors will be without a majority of their coaching staff, including head coach Nick Nurse, for Friday night’s game against the Houston Rockets.
The team announced Nurse and five unnamed members of his staff will not be on the bench for the game in Tampa and “will continue to work remotely, and details on their return will be communicated when appropriate.”
The staff members are out because of NBA health and safety protocols, the team said.
The Raptors had been one of the few teams to escape any significant issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic this season.
