When the game’s on the line, the Raptors turn to Pascal Siakam

It has become wildly apparent that it doesn’t matter what Pascal Siakam does in the first 40 minutes or so of a game, because he’s going to get his shot to make plays down the stretch of any close contest the Raptors are in.

Just as coach Nick Nurse has predicted all season while grooming the young Toronto forward to be his team’s closer. Lately, it has proven to be a sound strategy.

Siakam was the go-to guy down the stretch in victories against Golden State and Sacramento during a road trip that wound up Monday in Salt Lake City.
