What they’re saying about Raptors guard Fred VanVleet’s record-setting night

Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet broke multiple records in scoring 54 points against the Orlando Magic to lead his team to 123-108 win.

VanVleet broke the franchise record for points in one game, previously held by DeMar DeRozan, who scored 52 points against the Milwaukee Bucks on Jan. 1, 2018 in an overtime win.

VanVleet also broke the mark for most points scored in a single game by an undrafted player, surpassing Moses Malone (53).

On top of his 54 points, VanVleet had a career-high 11 threes (one short of the Raptors franchise record) while shooting an efficient 17-23 from the field.
