Watch: Raptors send powerful message with ‘I Can’t Breathe’ video

Raptors president Masai Ujiri, head coach Nick Nurse, chairman Larry Tanenbaum and stars such as Fred Van Vleet, Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby contributed to a powerful video in support of those protesting anti-Black racism.

Stating “the need for change is long overdue ... and it is here,” the Raptors took turns reading from the spoken word poem “I Can’t Breathe” in the video, posted on the team website and social media.

On Saturday, Philadelphia-born point guard Kyle Lowry and several members of the 76ers took part in one of the many marches across North America in the wake of the killing of George Floyd by police in Minneapolis.
