Watch: Raptors rookies sing ‘Party in the U.S.A.’ to teammates’ delight

Some NBA teams make their rookies carry pink Dora the Explorer bags. Others force their first-year players to buy breakfast for the veterans.

On Friday, the Raptors released a delightful video of Malachi Flynn and Freddie Gillespie singing Miley Cyrus’s “Party in the U.S.A.” at the end of a recent practice.

According to Kyle Lowry, it’s “the greatest song, in the history of songs,” and handed the rookies the lyrics.

After a rough start, the pair won over the tough crowd, especially after Gillespie started dancing near the end.

Flynn was the Raptors first round pick last year, and Gillespie is on his second 10-day contract.
