The Toronto Raptors will be without All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry for the foreseeable future after the team announced Monday that he is scheduled to undergo surgery to remove loose bodies from his right (shooting) wrist.
A news release from the Raptors indicated that Lowry is expected to be ready for the postseason, should Toronto qualify. The team entered the week fourth in the Eastern Conference, six games behind the first-place Cleveland Cavaliers and eight games ahead of the No. 9-seeded Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks.
