Undermanned Heat get enough from the players they have to end Raptors’ win streak

There were just enough defensive mistakes, just enough missed shots. The Raptors were a step slow here, a beat behind there.

And a night when they didn’t play particularly well — not horribly, just not particularly well — ended with a predictable result.

Toronto’s three-game winning streak came to a screeching halt in Tampa, Fla., on Wednesday, losing 111-102 to the Miami Heat to open a two-game series that concludes Friday.

The Heat were missing four regulars — Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro, Avery Bradley and Myers Leonard — but, in this odd pandemic year, teams are going to have to fight through missed players and odd lineups.
