Ujiri, Raptors Stand Pat At Trade Deadline

Sometimes the best move a team can make at the trade deadline is the decision not to make one. The Toronto Raptors were in Chicago as a relatively quiet deadline passed on Thursday afternoon, preparing for their first game after the All-Star break. They are second in the Eastern Conference with 35-17 record, and have weathered injuries and a road-heavy start to the season. As the deadline came and went, there just wasn’t a move available that felt right to general manager Masai Ujiri.

“We’re a good team in the East and we want to keep plugging along and figure out the playoffs,” Ujiri said.
