With Wednesday’s victory over the Golden State Warriors, the Toronto Raptors are just two wins away from clinching their first NBA Championship. Yet, instead of praise, many fans and media members have floated the idea that the title wouldn’t be as deserved.
The Warriors dynasty, which boasts four All-Star quality players (Draymond Green and Klay Thompson technically were not voted to the team this year) has been forced to play key stretches without two of them for parts of this series: Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson.
Durant was injured against the Houston Rockets a few weeks ago and may not even return this NBA Finals (although Golden State is “optimistic” he returns soon).
