At the end of last season when discussing offseason changes, General Manager Masai Ujiri described the upcoming changes with a now infamous line “culture reset”. When no changes came as a result of this culture change, fans were perplexed.
Despite no changes being made, during the regular season things did appear to be different. Toronto broke the regular season record for wins, and the isolation-heavy offense was scrapped for a more egalitarian style that favored ball and player movement. Once the playoffs hit, however, Toronto turned into the same old postseason Raptors.
This offseason no half-measures were taken.
