A vaunted run that gifted the Toronto Raptors with their first Larry O’Brien trophy, the 2019 NBA Playoffs were littered with potholes, incredible moments, and some of the greatest moments in franchise history.
The Raptors headed into the postseason as the number two seed in the Eastern Conference, after winning 58 games in the regular season – the second-best win total in franchise history. They trailed only the Milwaukee Bucks in all of the NBA for wins, which meant homecourt advantage was attainable if they were able to make it all the way to the Finals.
It would start with a potential landmine in the first round, the Orlando Magic.
