The Toronto Raptors returned to action Thursday night for the first time since their blowout loss in Cleveland. Thursday’s matchup marked the second and final meeting between these two teams this season.
Toronto was without some key contributors. Fred VanVleet continued to nurse a hand injury while Serge Ibaka served the first game of his suspension. Kyle Lowry was dealing with an ankle issue.
Thursday night’s contest was a very slow moving game. It felt as though the quick pace that usually comes with the Raptors was missing. However, with Coach Nurse deploying his 19th different starting lineup a change of pace is not entirely surprising.
