While it is true a team doesn’t win nor does it lose a series in the first game, the Toronto Raptors clearly missed an opportunity.
With a win in Game 1, Toronto would have positioned themselves in a much better spot than where they currently sit. After losing 108-100 to what was, admittedly, a well-rested Milwaukee Bucks team, the Raptors are facing an uphill battle.
The rest seemed to pay dividends in the second half of Wednesday’s game, with the visiting Raptors looking completely out of gas for most of the final two quarters.
As dominant as Toronto was in the first half, entering the break with a 59-51 lead, the fatigued of a grueling seven-game series versus the Philly started to kick in during the last 24 minutes.
