It’s hard to have a better first season coaching than Nick Nurse has had so far. In his first year as a head decision maker at the NBA level, Nurse has led the Toronto Raptors to a 2-1 lead in the NBA Finals. He’s two wins away from an NBA title, and at the moment, holds the second-best winning percentage in NBA history, behind only his Finals opponent, Steve Kerr.
Most first-year coaches take some time to adjust to the league. Nick Nurse has been a head coach at different levels before, but as David Blatt may tell you, the NBA is a different animal.
