Toronto Raptors look to P.J. Tucker for defence and energy

Coach Dwane Casey plans to give veteran more playing time as team heads down the stretch to the playoffs.

Although P.J. Tucker greatly improves the Raptors' defence, he hasn’t played more than 18 minutes in three games before Friday’s outing against the Detroit Pistons and hasn’t played more than 30 minutes in any game since he was acquired at last month’s trade deadline.

P.J. Tucker is the oldest Toronto Raptor but he’s also the newest member of the team and, as the stretch run of the NBA regular season arrives, he may become one of the most important players as well.
