Traveling across the country, on the front-end of a back-to-back, without star player Kawhi Leonard, the cards were stacked against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday night. It didn’t matter. Toronto took care of business with a blow-out win of the Los Angeles Lakers.
The stadium was packed with celebrities likely expecting to see a LeBron James vs Kawhi Leonard showdown. Instead, all they saw was a Toronto Raptors show. Toronto took control of this game early and never felt threatened by a young Lakers team.
The first quarter is where the Raptors did their damage. Toronto outscored the Lakers 42-17, and some of the box-score statistics between the two teams were comical.
