Toronto Raptors: Grades from dismal defeat in Orlando

The Toronto Raptors appeared set to take command of last night’s game in Orlando. At one point in the first quarter, they held a 10-point lead, and deserved it. After that, the wheels fell off the team’s offense to a degree we haven’t seen all season.

In the second quarter, the Raps shot 21.7%, then 19.2% in Q3. Meanwhile, the Magic were perfectly happy to take advantage. Center Nikola Vucevic punished the visitors repeatedly, on his way to a 30 point/20 rebound performance. Toronto was outscored 67-34 in those two quarters, which rendered Q4 little more than garbage time.
