The Toronto Raptors have slipped considerably since the All-Star break in February. After wielding a 11-game win streak and winning 14 of 15 contests, the Raptors went into vacation mode. Since the all-star break, the Raptors are the 27th ranked defensive team as they have allowed 103.3 points per game. Since the past two seasons featured the same collapse near the end of the season and into the playoffs, the broken record continues to play.
You can definitely vouch that their effort hasn’t been the same lately. The regression of James Johnson and Luis Scola are an easy tandem to point fingers at, but watching Jonas Valanciunas get his lunch eaten by Brook Lopez on Wednesday evening was the proof in the pudding.
