As the NBA prepares to ease restrictions on players using team facilities to train, the Raptors are reaching sympathetic ears trying to figure out how they might be able to open their gym to at least a few players.
NBA teams — with severe restrictions covering everything from the number of players allowed at one time to how they must maintain some semblance of social distancing — are allowed to open their private facilities on Friday.
But with restrictions in Ontario on the number of people who can gather in one place and which businesses can be open, the Raptors need government approval to take advantage of eased league-wide restrictions.
