There’s been plenty of gut-check moments for the Toronto Raptors in the 2019 NBA Playoffs, but Game 5 against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night represented maybe the biggest moment of them all, so far anyway.
The Raptors had won back-to-back games to tie the series heading back to Milwaukee, and even though a loss wouldn’t write off the series it would make it a lot tougher. Plus, Drake wouldn’t be in attendance to give Nick Nurse shoulder rubs, much to the dismay of Mike Budenholzer, I imagine.
Milwaukee would need to come out guns blazing to right the wrongs from Games 3 and 4, and unfortunately for the Raptors, that’s exactly what they did.
