Maybe it is a glimpse of what’s to come, an evolution in his game that will make Norm Powell a far more effective player for the Raptors than he has ever been.
But as with so much in the tantalizing career of the 27-year-old swingman, it’s wise to take a wait-and-see approach to his new-found ability to create good shots for others.
Powell had registered six assists in consecutive games heading into Wednesday meeting with Milwaukee, a promising upswing for a key piece to the Toronto puzzle.
“We’re starting to find the flow with where guys are going to be at within the offence, and just making reads off of that,” Powell said after his six-assist evening in Indiana on Monday night.
