It’s all about finding out what works each night for the Raptors and exploiting that advantage to the hilt. The unorthodox nature of the team’s roster fits that plan.
A team without a traditional centre who plops himself down in the low post and goes to work has turned its half-court offence into an inside-out attack, as counterintuitive as that may seem.
“We don’t have a post player but we have big wings and big guards right now, a lot of times, so there is some advantage to getting position down there,” Raptors coach Nick Nurse said after Toronto’s 109-105 win in Washington on Friday.
