Kyle Lowry knows it is coming. It’s just a matter of who and when and how everyone deals with it.
Someone, perhaps many someones, will contract the coronavirus as the NBA season unfolds and dealing with it will become a fact of life.
Lowry, in his role on a players union executive committee, has played a significant part in the development of COVID-19 protocols. They will be tested once the season is fully in swing and the veteran Raptors guard is not so naive as to think everything will be fine.
“I think there will be cases, there will be people that get the virus … it’s going to happen and we have to adjust,” Lowry said Thursday, the first time he has spoken to the media since the 2019-20 Raptors season ended in August.
