It’s trite and easy and understandable, and in the case of the Raptors it could not be further from the truth.
It’s never “next man” or “one man” or any man at all. The Raptors are able to survive the various injuries that pop up during a season by spreading the load, not concentrating on the one player who is trying to step into a role for which he may not be suited or prepared.
