Standing in the middle of a topsy-turvy series with the Indiana Pacers, DeMarre Carroll is having flashbacks.
It was just two years ago that Carroll was playing with the eighth-seeded Atlanta Hawks against a Pacers team that was the best of the NBA’s Eastern Conference. The Hawks stole home-court advantage from them in Game 1 and took a 3-2 series lead before falling in seven games.
“Each game was different,” Carroll said on Sunday, sitting on the scorer’s table at the BioSteel Centre, a day after he and the Toronto Raptors were thumped in a Game 4 loss to the Pacers, tying the present-day series 2-2.
