The Raptors would love more consistency from Norm Powell — instead of 20-plus points one game and fewer than 10 the next one or two — but they sure aren’t going to turn down the nights when he gets on an offensive role.
Powell exploded for a career-high 33 points in Orlando on Friday night, helping a less-than-crisp Toronto team to a 90-83 victory over the Magic.
The win was the sixth in the row for the Raptors before a three-game homestand, and runs their Eastern Conference record to 14-4.
Powell had one of the best individual quarters by a Raptor this season in the third, almost single-handedly pulling Toronto back from a deficit that reached 11 points.
