One of the most popular Raptors of the last two seasons bid farewell on Instagram to Toronto on Sunday.
Yuta Watanabe showed his attachment to the city by posting a photo of the Toronto skyline and saying he is cleaning up his room, closing a two-year chapter with the team.
“Thank you Toronto I’ll miss you,” the 27-year-old wrote to his 242,000 followers.
The Japanese native joined the Raptors in 2020, and was in and out of the rotation. He played in 38 games last season and averaged just under five points in 11 minutes.
